I live in Harrison, Arkansas. I know Harrison to be a wonderful community full of loving and kind humans of all walks of life. Unfortunately, the town has long been plagued by the pernicious acts of a small but very vocal hate group. Last weekend, the local LGBT community hosted their first-ever Pride event in town and bravely faced down those forces of hatred and darkness. It was a watershed moment for this place, and very clearly drew a line in the sand, no matter your opinion of gay rights issues…love vs. hate. This is the story, in words and photos. Read more!
